Designer Jane Mabee came onboard to create the first Chocolat collection for winter 2003. Summer 2007 celebrated her 10th collection and the label continues to illustrate Mabee's expertise in clever cutting, the art of draping and an acute understanding of the magic of optical illusion. An award winning designer with success both in New Zealand and internationally, Mabee's inspiration stems from 'anywhere and everywhere...' She is an avid collector of books on the art, literature and history of fashion and her extensive knowledge and understanding of fashion's journey is quietly shared in the collections she creates.
