WORKSHOP DENIM
Workshop Denim designer and company founder Chris Cherry established the company in 1980. As the driving force behind the company, Cherry styles the 'Workshop' and 'Workshop Denim' ranges and travels several times annually throughout Europe sourcing fabrics for the 'Workshop' and 'Workshop Denim' collections, and new product lines for the company's retail division.
Workshop Denim is now a collaboration between creative director Chris Cherry, Emma Green and Amber Gardner. The personality of each designer is evident throughout the range. With Cherry's guidance, the collection remains faithful to Workshop's rich heritage, while a youthful energy has been injected with Green's plays on volume and distinctive silhouettes and Amber brings her tailoring and graphic design talents to the team.
Cherry is as renowned for his passion for architectural detail and interior design as he is for his selection of fabrics and construction of cutting edge clothing, and has been heavily involved in the design of Workshop's four retail stores, the newest being a 3000sqft+ flagship store located at 18 Morrow St, Newmarket, Auckland.
